Star Wars Fiction

This page is dedicated to my short story set in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, taking place about ten years after the establishment of the New Jedi academy by Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, around the time of the The Hand of Thrawn Duology, by Timothy Zahn.

The story focusses on events taking place at a mining station orbiting a remote gas giant in an otherwise unpopulated system, called Dadanna. Click on the link above and read the story to figure out what it is all about...

Author's comment: This is yet another story that I've written as a way to distract and rest my brain from my full-day job. I quite liked writing it, I hope someone out there likes reading it.

For inspiration, I want to thank George Lucas (naturally) and many fiction authors, especially Timothy Zahn, whose more adult take on the Star Wars universe is well appreciated by an older fan like me. Also, I have to thank my wife for pointing out some parts of the story that needed some more work. Without her, it would have been much diminished. Furthermore, the following online sources offered invaluable information for the plotting and writing of this story, without which it would have been quite impossible to ever finish it:

Star Wars Databank - The official knowledge base for all things Star Wars

The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia - The far less official, but perhaps even more helpful source of knowledge and facts

TFHB Technical Database - And for some detailed technical info on the ships and military, this was the place I went

What happened when? - To keep the timeline generally consistent, I referred to this source.

You're very in touch with nature and greatly value living things, even the more inferior creatures. Your calm demeanor is admired by many and you don't sweat the small stuff and things you can't change. You're kind, quiet, and strong.
If I were a Star Wars character, I would be: Qui-Gon Jinn.
