Saker Mk III |
Personal History: Born at Mars, in the Sol system as the second child of a five member family. His father worked as a lawyer in the city of Quennisset and his mother remained home, preferring to raise the three children - two sons and one daughter - personally. At 15 he was relocated to Eta Cassiopeia military school where he developed an interest in space combat tactics and fighter piloting after a period of intensive melee combat training. He scored above the average in several combat simulations and was consequently assigned to a secret military base under the command of Sergeant Emic Troy. In Sergeant Troy's fighter assault squadron he was quickly promoted to the rank of corporal, but after that his career came to a standstil, since Sergeant Troy did not recommend further promotions to many of his pilots. After a few years, Corporal Rayger took part in a border skirmish in disputed territory. Following the betrayal of Sergeant Troy, most of his squadron was destroyed, but Corporal Rayger survived after launching a missile that destroyed the squadron leader's Saker. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and took control of the rebuilding of his squadron. Sergeant Marcan Rayger spent years as the leader of the assault squadron, gaining the respect of his soldiers but never getting further promotions. This was due to the distrust he had gained because he had belonged to late Sergeant Troy's squadron. This eventually led to embitterment from Marcan Rayger's part and he started to consider leaving the military. The story of Marcan Rayger begins from a situation in which he becomes involved in the investigation of the theft of a new military heavy fighter. The year is 3248AD and the place is the secret military base where Sergeant Marcan Rayger is assigned to. |
BTW: The British actor who got his picture screwed up to become Marcan Rayger (in the picture above) is John Nettles, famous for his roles in TV-series Bergerac and Midsomer Murders. The first visiting commander to recognise the edited picture was Pete 'seniorcommander' Wright. Congratulations!
